NEW Fall 2025: Co-Working Playgroups
Anyone wanting a space where their child has lots to engage them, while they hopefully get stuff done, should check this type of session out.

What is a Co-Working Playgroup?
A Co-Working Playgroup is a scheduled session every week where the same group of adults and children gather, and the children socialize and play while the adults are hopefully freed up enough to work on a portable task.
The experience of coming to a regular Playgroup or a Co-Working Playgroup is the same for kiddos. Adults are the ones who should notice a difference in their experience. We ask that the adults joining a regular Playgroup come intending to enjoy the company of the other adults who will also be there – socializing for all ages! Adults coming to the Co-Working Playgroup should expect that other adults will be trying to get stuff done and likely won't have much time for visiting.

Tuition for Co-Working Playgroup (or regular Playgroup) is $115 ($7.19/per gathering) for the semester, and $40 ($2.50/per gathering) for additional children over 12 months old. Fees will be prorated if joining mid-way through a session.

Frequently asked questions:

Who is watching my child during a session?
You are. Each adult is responsible for the child/children they brought throughout the time they are at Co-Working Playgroup.

Is there WIFI?
Yes, there is basic WIFI available at the GMCC building. Depending on where you are in the space it may be stronger/weaker. Please plan on supplying your own hotspot if you need more than basic WIFI.

Is there an electrical outlet I can use?
Sure thing! Feel free to use any unused outlet in any of our areas – but please be aware of not creating safety concerns for the kiddos (tripping hazard, enticing plugs low down, etc.).

Can I do a quick video call?
It depends. We ask everyone to be respectful about the space everyone else is also using – but if you are using a space without others around, are providing your own hotspot internet, and can do a call at the same time as you are being responsible for your child/children, go for it.

I want to join a Playgroup, but there are kids closer to my child's age in a Co-Working Playgroup, can I join that instead?
Absolutely! People looking to join a Playgroup are welcome to join a Co-Working Playgroup; adults should just be aware that other adults may not be as inclined to socialize.

I want a Co-Working Playgroup, but I know a family in the regular Playgroup. Can I join a regular Playgroup and work when I can?
No. We ask any adults looking to get any work done during a session to make sure they are registering for a Co-Working Playgroup.
